AVERY COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS

The Volunteer Fire Departments strive to offer the best service possible, which includes updating and maintaining equipment, fire suppression, fire prevention, auto extraction, and search and rescue. Department volunteers also assist Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Management in regard to man-made and natural disasters.

The volunteer fire departments accept applications from individuals who want to serve as volunteer firefighters. To apply, contact the station directly. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. More information can be made available to you at the stations.
