The mission of the Avery County Sheriff's Office is to provide to the citizens of Avery County a professional and well trained staff to provide exceptional service and to protect the citizens and their property. We will enforce the laws fairly and without prejudice and will treat each person with respect and dignity in so far as they will allow. The Avery County Sheriff's Office will continually strive for excellence, and will endeavor each day to build and improve community relations. Every person in the Avery County Sheriff's Office will be held to a high standard of honesty and integrity in both their professional and personal lives.
